Hydropower Project Management

1. Feasibility Studies & Project Identification
Conduct reconnaissance and prefeasibility studies for hydropower sites.
Perform full feasibility studies including hydrology, geology, geotechnical investigations, topographic surveys, environmental and
social assessments (ESIA/EIA).
Evaluate project alternatives, optimize installed capacity, and analyze economic and financial viability.
Prepare feasibility reports compliant with national and international standards.
2. Detailed Engineering & Design Services
Prepare detailed project reports (DPR), engineering drawings, and design specifications.
Structural and hydraulic design of dams, spillways, intakes, desanding basins, headrace tunnels, surge shafts, penstocks, and powerhouse
components.
Electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical design, including turbine and generator selection.
3D modeling, structural analysis, and hydraulic simulations using advanced software (HEC-RAS, ANSYS, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, etc.).
3. Environmental & Social Safeguards
Conduct environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA).
Prepare environmental management plans (EMP) and social management plans.
Support public consultations, stakeholder engagement, and compliance reporting.
Implement environmental monitoring during construction and operation.
4. Project Management & Construction Supervision
Provide owner’s engineer services from design through commissioning.
Monitor construction quality, progress, cost, and safety.
Review contractor’s designs, method statements, and work schedules.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress reports.

Perform hydraulic modeling for waterways, spillways, and power waterways.
